As mentioned in a previous post, Transaction Pro Importer for QuickBooks will now import new assemblies and update existing assemblies. Please note that Transaction Pro will not add your component items that make up your assembly. Make sure you add these first in QuickBooks or use the Item List import in Transaction Pro to import them in.
Note: This post has been updated on January 31, 2011 to reflect that item assemblies for versions 4.021 and later are now an import type and no longer need to be enabled via a command line parameter
Import Type Selection
Then when you start Transaction Pro Importer for QuickBooks you will see an import type called Item Assembly. Select this from the drop down.
Item Assembly mapping screen
On the Transaction Pro mapping screen you will see all the fields available to import or change an existing Inventory Assembly in QuickBooks . If you are using custom fields in your company file they will also appear at the end of the QuickBooks Fields list.
